Frequently asked questions
What is Investi?
Investi is an AI Investment Studio: a workspace where an AI analyst researches companies with you, over live market data, your notes, and your portfolio. It is built for people who do real research before they invest, not for trading. The closest comparison is what tools like Cursor did for programmers: the model is the engine, Investi is the car built around it for investing.
What will I get from using Investi?
You get a written research record on the companies you follow, and an analyst that does the reading with you. You ask a hard question and get an answer grounded in the actual filings and statements, with every number visible so you can check the work. What you conclude is saved as a note or thesis next to that company, so the next conversation starts from what you already figured out. Come back next quarter and the argument is still there; a scheduled monitor can recheck it against the new evidence. Link a brokerage and the same analyst can reason about the positions you already hold.
Is this just another ChatGPT?
No. ChatGPT will discuss a stock if you ask. The answer lives in a thread, it does not keep your notes, and it is not built on live filings and your portfolio. Investi is a workspace for that work. The analyst researches over market data you can check, saves what you conclude next to the company, and starts the next conversation from there. A chatbot is built around the prompt you type today. Investi is built around research that has to last until the next filing.
How is this different from Perplexity Finance?
Perplexity Finance is a real research desk: live data, citations, a first pass in a few seconds. The work then lives in a thread. Investi is built around a workspace. Your notes, theses, and watchlists sit next to the companies they are about, the analyst reads them before it answers, and the next conversation starts from what you already figured out. A research desk is for the question. A workspace is for the work that has to last.
How is it different from Koyfin, Fiscal.ai, and the rest of the AI investing wave?
Sort the field and every cluster decides something for you. Data terminals like Koyfin, TIKR, and Seeking Alpha give you deep data, then leave the reading and the conclusions to you. AI copilots like Fiscal.ai bolt a chat onto those dashboards, but they are finished apps that organize investing their way. Stock pickers like Danelfin sell scores and signals without showing the reasoning. The serious AI analysts, Rogo or AlphaSense, only work for banks and funds. Investi takes the corner nobody has: an open workspace for the individual, where the analyst does the reading over the same kind of data, the analyst starts with no baked in philosophy, and the output is your own research, compounding as you use it.
What does working in Investi actually look like?
You ask a real question, say whether a company's margins can survive its capex cycle, and watch the analyst pull the actual statements, reason in the open, and answer with every number visible so you can check the work. What you conclude gets saved as a note next to the company, and any edit the AI proposes arrives as a diff you approve first. Next quarter, a scheduled monitor can recheck the thesis against the new evidence before you even ask. That loop is the whole product.
Can I connect my brokerage account?
Yes. Link the brokers you already use, including Fidelity, Schwab, Robinhood, and Interactive Brokers, and your holdings, cash, and transaction history sync into Investi. Your portfolio gets its own page with performance, risk, and allocation, and the analyst can reason about what you actually own instead of a hypothetical position.
Is that safe? What can Investi do with my brokerage account?
The connection is read only. Investi can see your positions, balances, and past transactions, and that is all. It cannot place a trade, move cash, or change a single setting at your broker. The login runs through SnapTrade, a specialist provider that brokerages and finance apps use for exactly this, so your broker credentials go to them and never reach our servers. The AI only sees a summary of the accounts you include, nothing is used to train any model, and if you ever disconnect, everything synced through that connection is deleted from Investi while your brokerage account stays untouched.
Is anything the analyst says investment advice?
No. Investi is a research and information tool, not a licensed investment firm, broker, or advisor. Its output is general information generated by AI, not a personal recommendation, and it can be wrong, so always verify independently before you rely on it.
What does it cost to get started?
Nothing. The free Hobby plan includes a generous monthly allowance of the standard model plus live market data, notes, and folders, with no card required. Pro adds frontier models when you want more horsepower. The honest pitch: sign in, ask one hard question about a company you know well, and judge the answer yourself.
